Just heard a voice talkin in my head about buffer tanks for small mod cond boilers munchkin to name. What is the best formula to figure out what is the proper size buffer tank for a system ,the one i am looking at is a original steel monoflow tee system with 2 butchered in base board loops ,which upon boiler replacement will be corrected and properly zoned to boot .I figured that the systems water volume would have to be calculated and would also come into play just a little worried about short cycling on a call for the baseboard zones ,1 zone 10,800,and another 21,400 total for the house is only about 60,000.No chances for improving the building enevolpe like windows or insulation it will be a miracle if they even replace the boiler original 50,s us raditor boiler baso gas control and all
original pump aquastat and circ relay if i can't talk them into a munchkin then a buderusit will be peace and good luck clammy
