This job has 2 fancoils, with 4 zones of floor warming. The project started out as a possible geothermal/full on radiant. Then when the homeowner found the price a little steep, and the wife would not comprimise on the 80K cabinet work,this was the comprimise. I tried my best to talk them into at least installing the full on radiant and using a Vitola with nice Vitotronic controls, but no dice. It will always amaze me that when building a new home, more money is spent on cabinets, and counter tops that can be redone anytime yet spend as little as possible on the heating/cooling system that works 24/7/365. Money spent now on the heating can save a lot of money later in an uncertain future............... oh well.

It turned out nice I suppose, but I guess I will always look at this project as being a lot less than it should have been.

I was impressed with the boiler, a VR-100 from Viessmann. I think the extra $ for the Riello was worth it compared to the AFG. Not that the AFG is not a bad burner, but once you work on a Riello......you never want to go back.

This boiler model I think will become very popular, as it competes very well on price with other 3 pass boilers out there. I am just chomping at the bit to sell a Vitodens again....
