Jason I just replaced a 20 year old Sepco water heater that fits those parameters. They are sold under the Vaughn name now, I believe. These are stone lined and heavy, but good.

indirect heater w/ electric backup (for solar)

Is anyone aware of a 60-80 gal. domestic indirect heater with an electric element backup? I would like to run the solar closed loop through the coil, and have the element for backup.

I recently installed two of their 80 gallon tanks on solar systems. The coils are now removable for cleaning. They are a tightly wound copper fin type, however. Much like the ones everyone is complaining about at the Amtrol post :)

These stone lined tanks last forever! I have a 24 year old one in my solar system. They will hold heat about 3 days without any solar input.

They will custom build tanks also. They arrive very well crated. Which is a good thing because they are tough to handle, weight wise.
