Buderus boiler sizing

You don't mention what the dometic hot water demand is, but if it's the normal tub/shower, lav and kitchen sink, go with the smaller boiler. You can increase the output of the indirect by using a tempering valve and increasing the aquastat setting. Keeping the indirect at a higher temp than normal with the mixer will make up for a lot of the BTU input. If the boiler meets the heat load, this combo should do the trick.

HELP ABOUT SIZING A BUDERUS FURNACE WITH DHW

I need the help of all the experts out there.

I am installing a new Buderus DHW Model # ST 150. the Spec sheet of the DHW shows a boiler temp of 194 F, a continuous
rating of 159 Gals/HR and calls for an input of 119,000 BTU/HR.

I have suggested to the customer to use a Buderus G124x/25 boiler. The output of the G124X/25 is 85,500 Btu?HR. I realize that the boiler will somewhat degrade the hot water
output from the DHW. However, the DHW will satisfy the DHW
needs fo the family. It is a small family.

I am afraid that G124X/32 is too large for the boiler and will have shorter runs which, as you know, is not good for the boiler.

Hi folks, any opinions from you experts will be greatly
appreciated to to resolve this and help the customer.

    Thank you all,
