Heating Problems

I am a complete amateur at this, but I am hoping that you can help me resolve my problem. I have baseboard heat and all of the baseboards downstairs are heating well and all but three of the baseboards for upstairs are working fine. The three baseboards that are not heating upstairs are in the dining room, living room and hall bathroom. I believe I have a three zone system because I see where the main supply pipe branches into three at the boiler. I have been reading about my type of system and believe that air in the system is causing the three baseboards not to heat. Please confirm whether you think this is the problem and if so how do I resolve it. I figured that I would have to bleed the air from the system, but I'm not sure how.
Also please help me understand how my system works.
I am including several pictures for your review. Please provide me a brief description of what I am viewing in each picture. Following are some of my thoughts on what I see in the pictures. I got this information from books that I have been reviewing, but I still need to understand how this stuff works
1 - Overall system shot - Red circulator pump and motor, hot water supply lines, and hood
2 - what I believe to be the 3 branches for the three zones. each pipe says modern and purge near each spout.
3 - another overview shot - hood, safety valve, three branches
4 - air expansion tank and boiler drain cock
5 - boiler drain cock
6 - another overview shot
7 - water supply from water heater
8 - wire junction box, circulator pump and motor, and aquastat (top gauge says altitude and bottom gauge says temperature)
9 - aquastat and junction box
10 - aquastat, junction box, circulator pump and motor
11 - supply pipes to baseboards. the one on the left enters the baseboard in the bathroom upstairs and it is not hot as the other pipes. it actually is cold to touch in bathroom. the pipe on the right is very hot and heats the baseboard in the bedroom upstairs
12 - air expansion tank and some type of air valve on top
13 - three branches again
Thank you.

You need to begin with a good purge...and have a single zone system with 3 loops...how many t-stats do you have? Write back if you need advise on how to purge the zones.

T-stats and purging
Tim,
Thanks for the prompt reply. This is a first for me. I'm just an amateur trying to resolve the problem. First of all what are t-stats? I also need help with purging the system. I have no clue what to do, but with your help I believe I can do it myself.
