disturbing noise and main vent

Good day,
The length of the header, from boiler to end, is 43 feet. The diameter could be 2.5 or 2 -inch. The radiators, I don't know on EDR sq. ft, but I installed these cheap adjustble air vent (from home depot) on most radiators. What size will be the main vent? Any suggestion for the air vents on radiators.
I replaced the 1.25 inch diameter clogged return line with 1 inch dia. copper pipe, and I still hear hissing sound from radiators, an irritating banging sound located near at the end of the header pipe every heating cycle.
Please advise.

Main vent

should be a Gorton #2. This is the biggest one made and no one else has anything like it.

Check the pressuretrol, it should be set as low as it will go. Something is making water back up into the steam main (not the "header" as you called it) and if the return is new, excessive pressure might be the reason.
