    Northport Historical Society boiler replaced

Anyone read the article about this in Long Island Newsday?

The short jist.... the Northport Historical Society boiler cracked and they held a raffle to raise money.

Coincidently, the company that won the raffle money also had given the Northport Historical Society an estimate to replace the boiler for $7,000.00-plus. They donated the money back to the Society which is very nice.

The picture with the article shows the new boiler.

Anyone know why that install cost so much money?

Did prices jump so much in last few years?

The last few boiler installs that friends/family had done were pretty basic looking and were in the $4K range. Or is the boiler in the picture not so basic?

Or maybe they had other corrective work done besides the boiler itself?
