Valve for Aprilaire 360

Joe's right. There is an oriface between the feeder tube and the solenoid valve. Without the correct oriface you waste water or if it's missing, the solenoid slams shut and causes the pipes to hammer. The color of the oriface determines if its the right one for your unit

Valve for Aprilaire 360
I'm trying to cut down the water flow to my Aprilaire 360 humidifier. Is there something other than a 1/4" inline needle valve that I can use. By turning the 1/4" valve partially closed the water flow starts out fine but I eventually end up with no flow at all. Thanks -Ed0 -
Orifice
Rather than throttle the flow with a needle valve (which is nearly impossible) try using a smaller orifice. -DF0 -
Aprilaire humidifer
We do not use saddle valves install a 1/2 ball valve and reduce the outlet of the valve to the Aprilaire.0 -
Thanks Richard, I was thinking of using a larger valve but I wasn't sure that would work. Sounds easy enough, I'll give it a try. -Ed0 -
orifice
check the orifice in the solenoid to make sure its the right one ..on the back of the media pad box it will tell you what size orifice should be in there....throttling down the valve is not the right solution ..it the easy way out !!!!0
