Can a small thunb size hole in a cast iron radiator be welded?
I am renovating a house that is over 100 years old and need this radiator fixed so I can get heat moving throughout the house and on the upper floors.

can't weld....
cast I do believe. Braze maybe. However if the hole is that big you need a new rad soon. Is this Hot water or steam. If its steam you might be able to fudge it with some JB weld but that will be temporary...kpc

that's a big hole
you could try drilling, tapping and putting a plug in it. I have had success with small holes, 1/4 inch and use epoxy putty on the plug threads. Depends on where the hole is though0
