Weil Mclain or Utica Boiler Mod Con (brand loyalty)

Sure. These are both Alu-monoblock boilers with essentially the same control. The Ultra is available in many sizes so that you can match it to your load (80, 105, 155, 230, etc.) and it also allows you 5:1 modulation. The Utica only modulates between 80 and 200MBH. If your heat loss is just under 100MBH, then the 105 can modulate down to 21, which is far better than the Utica's 80 minimum fire. That's an advantage that would be tough to overlook for me.
The Ultra also has the advantage of being more likely of already having a few more of the bugs worked out, has venting that doesn't require reducers and can extend farther, can be wall mounted and (this is purely subjective) looks far better.

Should I go with the Weil Mclain Ultra or should I wait for the Utica Boiler UB95-200M Click Here
I have a Utica Boiler that has lasted 53 years so the brand loyalty tends to lean toward the Utica name. Any opinions. I know some people on this site really like the Ultra.

Check the manuals...
..I just did and found that the controls for the W-M Ultra and the new Dunkirk are the same. Wouldn't be surprised if the whole units were the same save for the outer jacket.
And as the previous post mentioned, the Dunkirk/Utica models are larger units. They won't work for a newbuild unless its a McMansion sized home.
FWIW, I just had a W-M Ultra 80LP installed in my new home, 2300 SF, foam insulation, good windows, etc, and at -1F this morning, the boiler was loafing along keeping the house at 68F. It only goes to high fire to make HW.
All the best.Best regards,
