In instances (most) that the HO does not elect to have the old duct cleaned, we tape some damp cheese cloth over the registers to catch the chunks blowing out of the duct system. You are right, it's a riot to watch what comes vomiting out of the registers in an old system when a new high static blower is turned lose for the first time.

    And IN with the new, The old one was about 35-40yr old can't see why we needed to change it, realy cool when the blower comes on for the frist time and cleans out all the ducts ;)....David
