So tommorrow the question will be : "What do you do with a Drunken Sailor ? "

We chartered a wooden sailboat and our company and another are going out for ... A Three Hour Tour !!

I'll take some pictures. This should be good for company moral :)

    NO John

I just type to fast. OR I could be drunk :)

We had a great time last night, wish you all cold have been with us.

It was a fun way to re-charge the batteries and let the guys know how much I appreciate what they do every day.

    Nice, Scott

Showing employees you care about them is perhaps the biggest reason why they choose to stay -- even more than the pay. Kudos to you, my friend!

Scott : TLC of employees should come directly behind TLC

of clients. The clients are important because they keep the bank account stable and growing. The employees are critical to keeping promises made to said customers.

Some years ago I grew a company from 14k a month to 85K a month by following that simple set of rules. Some times we are so full of ourselves that we forget. Not a bad idea to keep that thought fresh in your mind. Simple rules are an excellent way of staying a float and remaining successful.

Like the ship-captain who carried a match box in his pocket.
In it was a slip of paper which had this scrawled message.
Port is LEFT and starboard is Right. He swore that was a major part of his success as a captain.

It does sound like you all had a great time. I can imagine the flow of conversations and liquid refreshment.

    Aww, c'mon Brian

We both know the humidity is too high for it to do that!

    Ninety-six degrees and 90% RH?

    George,

I couldn't agree more! We split the cruise with another local company,(land contractors and friends) and brought a few of our own friends and work co-horts too.

It was a fantastic night to be out on the water and the wind worked with us, as did the beautiful timing of the cloudbreak.....just as the sun set.

A great time was had by all ! Thanks Boss. Chris

    Hey Scott!

Who's the 'prosperous' gent in the flowered shirt in the 003 picture? A liitle gray hair showing, too. Linda said he has a beer belly. He does look a bit familiar...

John recognized Chris from WetStock IV right away.

Glad y'all had a good time.

    Jeff,

Honest..the wind was blowing my "oversized shirt" in that direction.

I will stand by Teddy Roosevelts saying....Walk softly and wear a loud shirt.

Oh yeah, all those grey hairs are EARNED working with Mr. Milne. Just remember....you can comb grey. (bald ain't so easy to comb brother!) Chris
