MA code: GB142 use as pool/spa/snow melt heater?

I'm not clear on this. Can we in MA use the Buderus GB142 as a snow melt heater? Or pool and hot tub heater?

I thought someone

from Buderus would answer this, but based on the approvals on their website, I'd say no.

Best bet is to call this guy at the Plumbing Board, he's a state inspector. Make sure that you have a piece of literature in front of you, because he will ask for the approvals they do have.

We are addressing the Mass approval issue

We are in process to get approval in Mass.

thanks for the answers. I guess I was really asking if it was used not as an inside heating device. I guess either way it needs approval.

I think its a great unit and well designed. I havent put one in yet so I cant speak for its installation. We did see it running up at Buderus. Very quiet. I think the venting will make our lives easier, compared to the Vitodens.
