make up air
I've installed and serviced ice machines you are better off finding out what machine you'll be working on and get the service book for the unit .Most of the units i've worked on where water cooled but had a few air cooled and without make up air or in confined spaces where promblems and in kitchen areas a fresh air duct can lead to needing other equiptment such as fire dampers or motorized dampers as for promblemd just make sure the temp in the area where it located is not to hot and that the condenser area has enough free air movement and a floor drain for your ice bin aside from that they are not the hardest things to service as all things jud=st go through the secquence of operation and usually the promblem will appear if it is not a refrigerent promblem then start checking re circ pump float assb and tray sensors and of course bin sensor defrost cycle .In alot of kitchen sitiution we always opted for water cooled much less promblems espically in kitchens peace and good luck just remenber your a wet head you can figure out any thing good luck and peace clammyR.A. Sorry
Sorry thought you where talking about ice machines .Have also work on make up air systems also ,what seem to be the promblem. There are usually lock out control to pervent hoods from operating without make up and better units are usually equipted with a heater the best are equipted with a cooling coil to temper the air in the summer it's been a while also most are always tied into the smoke system to provide complete shut down in the event of a fire and if not mistaken have fire dampers sorry about the other post peace clammy ps usually there is no wiring diagram the last guy always takes it off for job security but never goes back to service itR.A. Most of them
are pretty strait forward. How old is it? Do you have a model #? What seems to be the problem with it? I will try to help you out, if I can.0
