Calling Ken

I agree with you to a certain point about billing, but have you ever noticed doctors, lawyers and most of all professional folks use a flat rate price. Call a ortho doctor and tell him you need a knee done, flate rate price. Call a dentist up and get a price on a root canal, flat rate price. Call a lawyer up for a divorce, flate rate and he wants his up front. You and I have not always agreed on every thing in the past, nor will we in the future. Think alot of you Ken, but you don't have to blast folks because there are different. Bottom line in life is; we can't take it with us when we are gone. My son made it home from Iraq, now to get him here from California.

When you
become a doctor, lawyer or dentist, then I will expect you to charge in that manner. After all, the insurance companies make most of those payments, or SSA, or workers comp.
But when you buy meat by the pound, wood by the foot and gas by the gallon - how can you suggest buying labor by the hour is "different"? Hell, it's been done that way for ever. It is only the premise of the FR mindset that demands we change something that has endured and proven successful for over one hundred years - to now all of a sudden to change!
