Weil Ultra vs Munchkin

Does anyone have any experience with both the Munchkin & the Weil Ultra boiler and have pro's & cons of each?

    We have installed both.

    About 10 of each.

All ~20 have been absolutely flawless, no problems and incredibly good equipment IMHO.

Our first Ultra went in about three years ago., Our first Munchie about two. Both easy to install, excellent wholesaler and factory support and popular enough that virtually any part that may be required can be gotten in hours from nearby stocking wholesalers/reps.

    A real toss up.

Do a search here for both.....

The content of the posts will show you which is the better product.....
That being said both will work, and the main thing is going to be the people taht you have to stand behind the product.
For me, I have a much better support network behind the WM product.... makes all the difference in the world....

  • Munchkins are great boilers so far...

Ive installed Munchkin boilers on several jobs and although it may seemingly be intimidating what with the control board, its actually quite simple. one of the features i like myself on a munchkin boiler is the Zone post purge. Whenever the boiler is turned off and the flow stops, the residual heat is lost up the flue. To minimize the effect the boiler kills the flame before the last zone turns off. The residual heat is then purged into the zone.,Also saving energy by minimizing stand by losses. do your home work. i havent installed a weil ultra yet but you should definately give the munchie a shot ---------Santos
