Just wanted some opions about all the other products that buderus makes which are unavable to us on the US market .It kinda strikes me funny that a company that's product line has so much to offer in europe doesn't try selling more of the there euro units here excluding there oil units they have a large selection of combo gas unit and externally mounted heating and combo units just amazes me and if where avable would fit nicly into many retro jobs that leave more space for a washer and dryer then there heating systems.Any responces ,fire away peace clammy

    I am not sure myself

To be honest I too wonder why that is the case, but without a doubt Buderus is making a stand and picking up market share. I do not know if The comapny is just slowly marketing itself at a steady pace or if there are any tarriffs on their business since they are another country and part of the European Union. I do not know and too am curious, I have started putting them in recently, bot too was wondering if anyone would stock parts, and accessory items and so far have been happy. One last thing is that I think there might be problems or concerns with things like ul listings, fm approval and such, I am not sure, does anyone else know? maybe someonefrom buderus is here on the site and can add insite

    A couple of thoughts...
    • The US hydronic market may be growing quicker but is much smaller than the EU market.
    • Getting approvals for the patchwork of arbitrary testing standards in the US is very expensive. The EU has one standard (CE)...
    • There is a limited budget for the training and introduction of new product.
    • The liability costs in the US are immense.
    • The potential payoffs in East Asia, and other developing areas are much higher, thus more efforts will go into those markets.
