wags
waggs unit is also made by watts. if bldg. will not approve one w/ plastic components ,tenant will have to do with manual shut offs. ya can't have it both ways. maybe watts can special order a all metal unit. if they live on fifth ave they gotta have cash .if you must know the price you can't afford it.0 -
its not building
Its not that the building probobly will not allow it, but its NYC code that does not allow pvc or plastic. Guess people are just getting lazier and richer0 -
plastic
the n.y.c. plumbing prohibits plastic pipe for multi-storey and commercial applications for very valid reasons. and laziness has absolutly nothing to do with it. plastic has its uses but for the most part it is dangerous and garbage. a n.y.c. lic. plumber . if the people got the cash and desire an all metal unit could be fabricated. if not too bad. let them go to a laundramat.0 -
Not Inexpensive But
Tile pan with curbs, liner, cement board or mud base and a floor drain. Surely NYC allows the good rubber liners as opposed to lead or copper. Used that construction in my attic and was VERY glad when renter left and washer overflowed. It saved my 2nd floor ceiling and floors.0 -
