I just looked at a revolution(my first) had no booklet with it. It appears to be a faulty gas valve.

Pilot comes on sensors gets red but no fire. Any thing else to check? milivots to the valve?

It is only 3years old. Seem to soon.

Thanks

    Burnham?

    Hi Steve,
If the pilot lights then cycles off and re lights it is probably the pilot assembly. The flame sense is not seeing that we have a flame. Sense could be dirty so micro amp signal is not being sent back to the valve to open it. I would try pilot assembly 1st, then if that doesn't work change the valve.
    Good Luck

    The pilot stays on.

If this has been a working system and it is now acting up I would check the following:

1.)Has anything changed electrically? Is the boiler sharing anything electrically on the 120v feed? If there is a drop in voltage the Smart Valve may not be getting enough power to open the main valve. Check for a minimum of 22v AC on the Yellow and Blue wires to the square plug on the valve while the blower is running and the valve is being told to operate.

2.) Check the gas pressure before and after the valve to ensure there is enough gas volume and pressure.

3.) Try the new pilot assembly first and make sure that the pilot is washing the rod by at least 3/8" to 1/2" of wash.

4.) Replace the valve if all else seems to be OK and be sure to get the correct valve as we use steo opening valves on all of our equipment.

    Hope this helps.

It was the gas valve. All others things checked o.k.. The only other problem is having to wait for parts. The owners wre cool tho. He says we've been carring wood in here for 150 years whats another day or two.
