Question regarding a steam boiler. I am installing a utica steam boiler next week, it is single pipe system gravity returns. the boiler has 2 2inch feeds and my header i have to tie into is 4". Can i use two 2" tees off of the supply to tie back in or do i increase to four inch out of the branch connection using one tee? I have not done much steam and this is the first time that i have run into this scenario.

Build the specified header and Hartford Loop for that boiler
install one takeoff from that leading to your 4-inch. Leave the drip from the 4-inch in place going into the wet return. Insulate everything.

Piping
Check the installation manual with the boiler. Utica has their piping arrangement and pipe sizes in there based on the boiler size. I did a 5200 last fall that also tied into 4" but 2 pipe. I used their recommended sizes with a dropped header. Works like a charm.0
