issues with regard to protecting the new Aluminum boilers and the various facets of protection that need to be considered.

Drew from Noble gave solid reasons to use aluminum rated glycol.

HotRod said without a doubt that he cleaned and treated every system that he installed so as to gain maximium protection.

And Dwight from Rhomar gave a serious overview of why water treatment was necessary to protect these new boilers. Initially some in the audience were less than convinced it was needed, but as the meeting moved along and the evidence in the form of charts and pictures was presented the mood of the audience began changing.

It will be interesting to see and hear the e-mails and phone calls in the coming days. This was a group of contractors that care about their customers and are trying to learn and do the right thing where their customers are concerned. I am sure here on the Wall, this will become a serious discussion topic and I for one look forward to participating.

Leading edge thinking for hydronic systems is here to stay. Knowledge and education are going to be a necessary ingredient to take advantage of the high efficiency these new boilers will allow the homeowner to enjoy.

    Able happening

I agree, it was an excellent class. Very thought provoking, especially when you consider how little the manufactures are going to contribute to this whole issue.
I am changing the way I sell boilers.
