Indirect Radiators

I have the same setup in my home. One recently went bad and it cost me $5,000. to have it removed, machined and reinstalled. I have closed the fresh air coming in and opened the trap door on the bottom of the heat exchanger ducting and it seems to flow fine. Since I still have asbestos, etc. in my basement, I may jury-rig a filter over it. I'm hoping the flow will still be enough. Good luck.

    Indirect Radiators

I have a one pipe steam system with several indirect radiators in ductwork hanging from the basement ceiling. The original fresh air intake has been sealed. If I simply open the access doors to the ductwork will that provide adequate air intake? The air in the boiler room is clean but very warm since the adjoining rooms are heated (different system). Do I need to be concerned about the overall condctivity of these radiators? Also, what type of vents should be on these radiators? Any advice appreciated.
