what a joke. They are just greedy people. Our workers comp went up 3 fold, there reason we had one claim 3 years ago. My oldest son had a knee fixed. They claimed they paid out 25,000.00 on this claim. I called and questioned the company, they keep on lieing to me about the cost. Finally I confronted them with the bill, hum guess what my wife does beside being director of out patient surgery where the surgery was done ( private out patient clinic). They then resorted to saying I was not intitled to that information
(lol). Then they claimed they set aside that 25,000.00, not paid it out. Yes our inland marine, blow back, tool floater, truck inurance has just sky rocketed. This is the time where we all lay our differences aside and come up with your own insurance pool. Believe me there is power in numbers. Some of you guys are paying over a grand a month for health insurance for you and your spouse. Our state laws are so screwed up, a person in jail can still recieve workers comp. Hey Dan if you really want to help us, start an insurance company for us. Just blowing off a lot of much needed venting. The one good thing is my next to youngest is back in the states, thank God.

Peace Be With You

Look into joining your local home builder's association

They have WC insurance, liability and health in some areas. Here's a link to the page where you can search for local chapters.

We joined a couple of years ago. I go to most of the evening meetings. We picked up about $50k of work from one upscale contractor the last half of last year. Pretty good return on the dues.
