so soon after you helped me but here's another question!

TH8320 being used for 3 stage heat pump plus backup. Got it set properly. It seems to allow the house to drop 2 degrees before asking for 2nd stage compressor and 5 degrees before asking for electric backup. Waiting 5 degrees makes the house very cold. Is this normal or do I have one not behaving properly?

    Seems to be OK now...

    The vendor says staging is based on an algorithm, whatever they are :) and isn't adjustable. After being in use a few days, it apparently has learned the system and is staging more like I would expect. Time will tell!

    Hi, John.

    Sorry, I didn't see this post earlier. You hit the nail on the head...the stat has an updated version of "Adaptive Intelligent Recovery", and does "learn" your system in 3-4 days. Thanks for using our products.
