    steam only

Steamhead is right, those radiators are for steam only (sections are not nippled together on the top). You've got a good eye (must be the name "steamhead").

Is there anything made today that will last as long as those radiators and still function? Or look as good?

    good luck

I have a floor full of radiators very much like these, I haven't had any luck giving them away, it's a shame but they are worth 3 cents a pound at the local scrap dealer...

    Don....are you in...

New Jersey anywhere. Looking for TWO...but of course a certain EDR to match the crappy, ugly one they recessed in my kitchen wall in the 1960's. Actually, I could use one with a slightly larger EDR, so if you are in NJ, I'll be there soon!

    value

the value of scrap cast iron: 3 cents a pound.

the cost of operating the replacement heating system: 30% to 50% more.

the day when the general population rediscovers the benefits of steam heating: priceless

    Mad Dog...HELP!

In viewing those rads, I THINK they are the TALL column style. I actually need the column style with the scroll-top BUT a lower version...about 22-24" -three column- and about 10-12 fins...Do you have any? I HAVE to get my recessed out of the kitchen wall. It is ugly, does not match the other 1903 beauties I have and HALF the heat ends up in the WALL! My EDR is 30 or so....
