Need insulator ring for carlin blast tube

I have a 20yr old smith bb-14 steam boiler that needs a new insulator ring on the end of the blast tube. It's a carlin 100CRD I believe. Local dealer shows nothing in his carlin book or in the Smith bb-14 LIT? Any ideas?

Insulator ring??
Its a 100 crd have not heard of this...beckett has one, but noe carlin..
is it part of the breech insulator or chamber?
if the tube sticks in that far that it needs a insulator than you need to reset the depth of the tube, Check the carlin site for the lititure look under the chamber dementions...

I assume that you mean a burner head protector of which Lynn Products makes a 4inch for Beckett and a 3.5 for Riello, never seen one for Carlin but have molded some Kaywool Wet Pack in a pinch or seen 3/8 Kaywool Rope wound around the tube before.

Not quite sure what you are talking about. The BB boiler series actually had a large insulating "doughnut" where the burner tube entered the combustion area. You'd have to check with Smith to see if part is still available, BB series has been discontinued. If the air tube is still good that should be all you need. I don't know of any amulet that protected the tube, unless somone jury rigged something.0 -
You can get it from Lynn Products. Its a fire box kit for a BB14 I got one last year.0
