    This is a closet boiler

Unlike the other pics of a closet job, that was a ballroom compaired to this. They kept adding on, and on, and on. Everything works, all zones get hot, and no complaints. Just had to show you guys what some people will do. [But we all know what can be done.] Best part about this...........it's my shop/office boiler!!! If you look closely, you'll see there is another door cut in on the left side.

  • That's alot of pipes

crammed in a small spot , but c'mon Frankie ..... 2 doorways to access the boiler ? That's 1 1/2 more than what we usually work through . Next time I replace a boiler I have to pipe on my hands and knees , under a set of stairs , I'll remember the ballroom comment . You almost sound like my manager and salesmen :)

Actually , I never seen so many pipes connected to a boiler in such a cramped spot . The most we had was 4 zones and an aquabooster under the stairs .

    Two doors

This boiler is actually installed in a closet at my shop. Over the years, there have been three major renovations involving acquired space until now we occupy all of it. [about 5,000 sq.ft.] There are about 7 or 8 zones mostly bb, w/ two injection radiant zones. The boiler is a wm 366 burning .85gpm. We naturally service the unit and keep up w/maintenance being an oil co. The side door was added during the expansion of '02. Now it's EASY to remove the top jacket and brush. AS you guys notice it, the origional job was not piped as pumping away and we just kept adding to it. There are five mens/ladies rooms as the DHW load. WE had one complaint last year about a single office being cold, so we split the run and added a zone valve [simple]

    combustion air

you can't see it, but there is a 12 x 12 ducted fresh air to outside, and we always re register the boiler w/ NYC and do an annual boiler inspection. That bit of rust is not indicitive of the rest of the boiler. It's still in good shape. [I wouldn't want to replace it though.] Uggh!
