    Radiator Btu's

Go to "SHOP" on the overhead task bar and get Dan's book, "EDR..every darn radiator". Short of that you can find a professional in your area who has one, or post pics and dimensions of ALL your radiators and hope one of us has the kindness and patience to figure it for you.

    We also need to know

if you're working on a hot-water or steam system. BTU output differs dramatically between the two.

    Especially if

you are modulating your hot water temperature.

As a general rule for CI radiators (measured in square feet EDR or "Equivalent Direct Radiation") emit BTU's per hour (BTUH) in a 70 degree room as follows:

215 degrees (steam basis rating) 240 BTUH per EDR

Hot Water at AVERAGE water temperatures (halfway between supply and return temperature at the radiator):

    170 F = 150 BTUH

    160 F = 130 BTUH

    150 F = 110 BTUH

    140 F = 90 BTUH

    130 F = 70 BTUH

    120 F = 50 BTUH

    100 F = 30 BTUH

    90 F = 10 BTUH

    All in a 70 F room remember.

Brad, I'm gonna cut and paste those figures for myself. A god among men? Well...you're working on it.

    You are too kind, Tom

Thanks for the kind words but I am far from there. Just trying to help where I can.

    :)
