Nice tight install. I like the stacked units for space saving. I wouldn't have put the LWCO on the return line, it's code here to be in the supply. What kind of combustion numbers are you seeing with that boiler???

buderus install
Here's a buderus that i finished up on monday it's a g124x/34 and a LT160 tank .The home is all baseboard with tons of tile every where and a nice super bath .I installed a taco 500 mixing valve for the tank and am running it at 150 there old hot water heater was groaning and ready to go the original boiler was from 63 and was a hydrotherm power pile that had seen better days with 2 b&g 100 on the returns they had got there money out of her .Left a little room on the panel for some possible basement heat and maybe some staple up radiant but time will tell .Peace and good luck clammyR.A. another note
While checking my materal and parts i checked my spriovent and even though this is only the 3 rd time i,ve seen this in . i have encountered these when having to start a system up and had my boiler safety blow after the checking everything out i pulled the spriovent element out and found the same thing i removed and the everything was fine .peacer and good luck clammyR.A. Thing of beauty
Everything is straight , square , easy to access , and you made it all look like artwork . The blue backerboard is a great touch . Did you leave room to the right of the board for future add-ons ?
Your work always amazes me Clammy .0 -
Wow
beautiful work. I think you raised the bar a bit....

Solid
Clammy, just as Josh said, those heat traps on the returns tell a story. Good drains and purge arrangements.
Tell me, was the choice of using iron based on the price of copper or is that more of your trademark? Just curious. Excellent work!!0 -

Thanks
Thank you all for your kind words most of the people who i do these job don't have much of a clue .As for the steel pipe not only price but it kinda keeps the hacks in line when they see it plus it makes for a solid base base for pumps ,spriovents and other assecories with not having to use male adpters then sweat and i feel it makes for long lasting manifold that years down the line will still be supporting everything and i believe it show that the person who put it in cared about what they where doing which i do just like every one else who post work that i gaze at in amazement and awe .The boiler was a little oversized but there is alot of unfinished space with lots of opitions and a large domestics water load plus not a stitch of insulation in the basement area and a mimiun in the attic .I did suggest it but as always upon deaf ears it fell not my gas bill i say .The thermal traps on the returns are a pet pev of mine when you see those you know i was running the ship not just helping out my buddies they will usually listen to my thoughts use most but generally cut short the master plan but occasionally and alot they move aside and let me do what i do best pipe it up sweet and neat and joke and laugh every second cause if you ain't havin fun at what you do then do some thing else life is to short to hate what you do evrey day once in a while is OK Thanks again for your kind words Peace and good luck clammyR.A. combustion numbers
Haven,t gotten back to check the numbers but i usually go back to my jobs with in a week or so to check everything and go over everything with the home owners .As for the heat traps they are a old timer trick in luie of using a flow check or check valve .I have found that in some homes with unheated basement and no floor insulation that you can get thermal migration and i have had it on a few occasion migrate to a piece of baseboard or a raditor and cause overheating and complaints so when the situtation arises i use them and usually when i built a panel i will try to incorperate them into the layout a ounce of pervention and planning Peace and good luck clammyR.A.
