Here is the pic of the equalizer and Hartford loop part of my boiler piping. The equalizer is 2 in., and the loop is located at about the same height as the bottom of the sight glass. Look okay?

Thanks Steamhead. My main intent with all these changes was to get dry steam. I hadn't even considered the potential for fuel savings. Why do you think it might be better?

In all aspects of steam I will defer to Steamhead but I wanted to acknowledge your including me in the thread, process and solution. I appreciate it.

I too am eager to see the fuel savings! Lower pressures, less hassles, less fuel burned for faster heat, what's not to like?

Dry steam and good vents!

Dry steam is a lot more potent than moist or wet steam, and the vents will make sure the more-potent steam gets to the radiators faster and more evenly.

No question you will experience better comfort with less fuel burned.
