    Marketing.......

    Apparently marketing thought that Joe customer wouldn't aprove of having a gold tank sitting next to his pewter boiler. So.... they made a plus tank in the pewter colour and then charged more for it.....
    It's all about pleasing the eye.....no difference.

    cost the same for like sizes. GOLD plus offers a double wall construction that does cost more.
