That was quite a Game 5 last night in Houston between the Astros and Cards. Two outs and one strike away from its first World Series appearance, the home fans rockin' the stadium. Eckstein, the best two-strike hitter in baseball eeks out a single, Edmunds walks, and Pujols blasts a three-run homer, all batters facing the best relief pitcher in the game. Even non-baseball purists would have loved watching that.
Baseball is still alive and still provides a lot of drama. I just hope this series doesn't make the World Series anti-climatic. I'm a huge Cards fan but I wouldn't be bummed to see the Astros in their first World Series, either. May the best team win (and beat the snot out of the White Sox).
