started up my heating system in my new house for the first time yesterday since moving in over the summer. have a buderus oil boiler with logomatic, indirect dhw and two unico air handlers. took the logomatic out of summer only mode and the boiler fired up to maintain the reset temp setpoint. set one of the zone stats for heat and waited. taco hydro board went through its delay and then nothing...contractor also added an aquastat on the return pipe. adjusted that a little lower than the 140 it was set at and i was in business, so i thought. 2 minutes later the unit shut off and began a 1 to 2 minute on/off cycle. had no clue. then discovered the differential setting on the aquastat was set for 5 degrees! first the overkill on the aquastat with the taco delay and then they put on a 5 degree differentail? Morons!

Ever think of calling him? Mistakes do happen, the delay is to give the heat a chance to arrive before the blower starts to prevent cold air from blowing into the house. The aquastat on the return also does the same thing. They may not have realized there was a timer. It sounds brand new if so new systems need tweaking. If he blows you off then call him an idiot.

Didn't bother calling him because this was not the only issue I've had since first moving in. Had to rewire boiler because multiple points were either not connected or incorrectly connected. Low water cutoff was improperly wired to the alarm output of the logamatic. One wire only... Run time counter was not wired properly, burner fail point was not connected. 36 gallon dhw tank was replaced with 75 gallon because they neglected to notice the 80 gallon whirlpool in the masterbed room. Had to come back after changing the tank because they twisted a soider joint and it was leaking.
