Oversized hydronic boiler

The problem is a Burnham B209 boiler. It is rated at 266,000 btu input. I would like to de-rate this boiler to match the load of the residence, approximately 140,000 btu. Two suggestions I am considering are to lower the burner gas pressure, or to plug off several burner orfices.

    Just Install the right size boiler . Please don't fool around with the burner..Bite the bullet and live a long life...
