Turkey Day in Detroit

If you are sitting around sipping hot chocolate and preparing for the feast, turn on the TV and watch the end of the Santa Parade from Detroit this Thursday. There will be about a dozen elves with big paper mache heads dancing around the float, waving to kids and having fun. If you spot an elf doing the "Grandpa McCoy" hitch, you will have spotted me. I can't wait. I've always wanted to march in a parade wearing one of those big heads (to match my own) and now I'll do it while hanging around the fat man himself (resembles me a bit).

It's all about kids and I'll be out there shaking as many hands as possible. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and be truly thankful for the many blessings you share with your families and friends. And raise a turkey leg to our U.S. armed forces overseas -- we need to be truly thankful for them, too.

I played Santa at the church a couple of times. It was wierd at first but when it was over it was the greatest feeling.
