Lend me your ear \"good pitch\"

On the rare occasion that I install this type of radiator I always feed it in one end and drain the other end back to the wet return. Unless it's like 2 ft long. I personally don't think an eight footer or twelve footer hooked up to one pipe would drain properly unless you stood it on end ;-)

What is good pitch for steel tube steam system fin tube.
Have eight footers and twelve that have pitch but on days where the system is makeing up temp from 60 to 68 they get water logged. I am running a vapor stat at lowest possible setting. The boiler cycles alot. Gas goes and off every few minutes. 5 oz on main almost nothing 1or 0 oz for the differential.
Thanks,
John0
