I am not really sure that I want to know (ignorance is bliss), but where did this happen?

My thoughts are with the Perlmuters, as I can not even imagine having such a tragedy.

I've been on the road this week (green building conference) and it's hard not to be home. I had read about it for a couple years, but always assumed it was somewhere else.

On Tuesday a boy came down with full blown west nile, and was brain-dead within a day. He lives 3 doors down from us and was 6 years old. I've been in email and phone contact, but it really sucks not to be able to hold my wife and son. The memorial service was this morning. At least I'll be home tonight.

Do me a couple favors: Hug your kids an extra time or two today. Send some prayers for the Perlmuters, it's going to be a hard road for them.
