Oil/Wood Combination FA Furnace

in THE MAIN WALL
My dad has a Longwood combination FA furnace. He is having a problem with soot building up on the cone which disrupts the flow of oil causing a buildup. I would appreciate any help I get because when this furnace fails, he already has a backup to replace it with. To the best of my knowledge, the Beckett burner has not been changed since the install date.
