Old Site was faster and Neater
What happened to the site? It's slower and the wall headers don't change colors anymore. It's also harder to read.0 -
No Color Change
I like the layout but miss the color change on the wall as i read the message

New Coke
Dan, is this a change for change sake or is there some reason. What is better about this version of the wall. Seems like the "new Coke" to me.0 -
The change
upgrades all the software on the back end so that the site runs better, and will continue to run better during the next few years. Its appearance is also less cobbled-together, as the old version was. We've been adding things and it was starting to loop sloppy. Neatness counts.

color change
I love the new look. The only thing I don't like is that the post listings don't change color after I've viewed them. After reading a bunch I can't always remember which ones I've actually read or not. Any fix?0 -
Dan does your color change now?0 -
Yes,
but not on Mozilla. I'm using IE.Retired and loving it.0 -
It seems to be.........
....much faster now, at least on my end!
I love the changes, Dan.

The colors change on Mozilla.

Dan on Mozilla
Go to your Browser Tools, Options, thrn click Colors, then check box that says Allow pages to change there own colors, instead of my selection above and yours should be fine with Mozilla also.0 -
I tried that
but it's still not working for me. I'll keep at it. Thanks, Bruce.Retired and loving it.0 -
Does anyone still use IE? Color is working fine now.0 -
I just think he needs to usea different bulletin software, like vbulletin. Much nicer, easier to read, and posts stay organized.0 -
It works on Safari as well. Sweetness.0 -
The links
from the Find a Pro advertisers won't link to their Wall posts. I've looked into this. Invision built this board specifically for us.Retired and loving it.0 -
Better or not, it always takes \"getting used to\"
I'm sure many of us are so shocked by the lack of the familiar that we couldn't tell if it was better or not. We'll get used to it. (About the time it needs changin' again!) I appreciate all the work that goes into this place, both on Dan's part and the contributors. I guess each needs the other huh? My only idea is some sites I'm on (such as www.enginads.com) allow you to read a bit of each thread just by passing your mouse arrow over the title of the thread. I don't know if that's expensive or hard to do, but it's a feature I enjoy. Just food for thought. Thanks Dan! Kevin0 -
the only thing I miss
Are the solder joints, can you add some couplings, or something to the pipes?
Just kidding!!!

With the price of copper being so high.
I just had to make that trip to the scrap yard. Sorry, Cosmo. ;-)Retired and loving it.0 -
Still no luck
trying to get Mozilla to change colors. I clicked all the right boxes but no dice. Not a big deal for me, but I'm just curious as to why it won't work.Retired and loving it.0 -

Hey Now!
I use Mozilla and my colors began changing late yesterday! (Yay!) Topics appear in blue, change to black when the cursor is moved over it, (nice touch) and then turn red after being clicked.

Pro Press
We need Pro Press to be fully representative.0 -
No
I looked around in the tools section but could not find anything to change. I will try it on my other computer and see if it is the same.
All in all, it looks great!
Thanks,
JimThere was an error rendering this rich post.

Refresh
Dan -
You may have the older version caught in your cache. Try doing a "super refresh." Hold down the control key and click on the refresh button. This worked for me. Good luck! There was an error rendering this rich post.
