Sometime on Wednesday
everything that you see on this site will look different, and I think, better. All the functions remain; it will just be easier to use.
I hope you like the new look.Retired and loving it.0 -
Will
we loose the current threads?
Thanks for The Wall!!
All the best
Robert

It may take a little while to get used to, but I think we can handle it. Looking forward to the "New" look Dan.

I don't see.....
....anything different!!!
At least not in the Wall. Some of the links from the homepage don't seem to be working - If you click on "Questions" in the top menu, it takes you to the Wall. If you click on the link at the bottom "The Wall" I get a blank page with an error message.

New Look
Sort of miss the 'home-spun' look, but all-in-all it's easier on the eyes (less busy) and is a very effective design! Looks great Dan!

Go to the opening page of the Wall and click on options. It'll bring up the section where you can dial in font size and type with a couple clicks of the ole' mouse.0 -
Hmmmmmmm
Doesn't seem to work like it used to. Or maybe I'm trying to do that in the wrong place............
Dan?0 -
Change looks great
Was a shock to see this when I first dialed in. Had to make sure I was at the right place. Keep up the great work !!

Spring is in the air
On the main Wall page where the threads are listed, it used to be the line items would change color upon being poked, leaving a trace of where I went. Now no more,it seems. Am I doing something wrong?
I like the extra width. Much roomier.
Back to the main Wall page, this extra width makes it harder to visually line up the short named thread with the date. Perhaps a little dotted line would help. Why I wan't the date to line up, I don't know.
I like the looks, it seems less copper like and more pex like. Progress.
Thanks for being there.

The Egli and I...
are having the same problem. Previously read threads do not change colors. I went to tools and changed the settings, to no avail...
Fine tuning in progress I'm sure.
Thanks Dano

whatever you want Dan
I'm sure this will work out just fine.
I kind of like the flames:-) JMHO0 -
I for one, do not like the bold lettering on the forum. Painful on the old eyes..0 -
Color change
Guys, the colors of the threads on my computers have NEVER changed for me. This has to be a setting on your own PC.Retired and loving it.0 -
The topic heading would change color
when you clicked on it to read the thread ( from blue to red ( I think ? I'm kinda color blind ) . It would go back to the original blue color when a new post was added to the thread . This made it real easy to keep track of topics you were following closely , which is many for me .0 -
Do you ever sleep??
Thanks for the new look! the way you care for everyone personally and the knowledge we take with us will never change.

bad vision
Hey Dan I think the letters stood out more before gotta get my glasses0 -
Bold
It is a little harder to read in bold I think. The links on the Heating Help banner are a little hard to read at a glance. Maybe switch them to bold and the topics to normal?
Just a suggestion. Obviously I am in the minority. ;-) It doesnt really matter what it looks like; it's still the same forum I read for many reasons that have nothing to do with bold font.

color change
I had same as Ron it was very convenient. I'm thinking and now I realize the thread would jump to the top as well. I guess color change gave an immediate awareness that there was new posts.
I love the flames, great job Dan you always deliver the goods
Thank you again!!0 -
how did it get to be wedensday already? *~/:)
Wow Wee:)
the wall is under construction:)
Looks crisp. where is the back to the wall button?
if we had a primary button ,the size of one of the primarys on a carlin ....it would be easy to find
do the threads turn copper after you read them?0 -
BACK
is up on the top, on the orange bar, where it's always been.Retired and loving it.0 -
Post listing at top of each thread
Dan, while I'm not having the issue others described where viewed threads don't change color on the main forum page -- they always have for me and still do -- here's another font color input. The listing of posts at the top of each thread are now red. That makes the little red "page" icon (which indicates a new post since the last time one visited a particular thread) less obvious. Perhaps the post listing should go back to black font as I think it used to be?
Thanks for the Wall!0 -
All fixed now.
Thanks for your patience.Retired and loving it.0
