Jeff,
That's early for me! As a Rent-A-Geek I have to do most of my work after-hours. Fortunately, I can do a lot of it remotely... Something I'd love to bring to the Heating business....
I'm proud of him now, especially in how fast he's growing and learning, and because he's got a great attitude (except for sleeping...). With the warmer weather setting in, I'll start to do 1 day a week of "Daddy-Daycare" again. I love spending the day with him, but I am so stressed about it the night before, I'm always silently looking for an excuse not to do it. But the day with him flies fast... But they can be stressful too.
I had him for half-a-day today (yesterday at this point), and it was a blast. I got to have him actually walk for part of the way. Man, I never knew how long it can take a kid to walk a block! And you don't know stress until he starts to kick the lady in front of his stroller, in the rush-hour packed subway car. Then he started to whimper and then cry. The lady he was kicking got down on her knees (in the packed and moving car!) to see how things "looked at his level", and to comfort him. Who says New Yorkers are cold and heartless. As for seeing life through his eyes, you don't know panic when all you can see in front of you are hundreds of legs surrounding you. I'm glad I too got down to his level. It's a great lesson...
What are John's plans for after High School? Join you in the business or continue on to college? As for Rachael, I know she's going to run the world...

Good topic Scott.
You're right, this is the work we should be most proud of, I am, for sure.
This was in December 05, and Autumn is almost five feet tall already. She'll be nine in two days time. It just seems like yesterday I was changing nappies (diapers
That's me running to get in the picture, and that's the radiantly-heated dog house in the background, he's cosier than we are
I'm back off to Cameron again tomorrow. The devastation is total, and hard to imagine unless one see's it. There's work here for craftsmen for at least two years, but nowhere for them to live. I'm hoping to get a FEMA trailer, so I won't have to drive so much.
I'll post some pic's later. Gotta go & load up my truck.
Later Guys.

Indentured Servitude
Here are my twin helpers. The son at the back actually screwed about a third of the subfloor down in the laundry room. His brother in the foreground is not that interested in any trades but he could probably land a 747.0 -
All good looking kids
Here are my two, Anthony and Caitlin. They are both in the teenage years now, Lord help me!! I have some rock salt rounds for the shotgun to deter any possible suitors of my little girl in the future. My boy is in his second year of Lacrosse. Lots of hitting with those sticks. I still can't believe they are as old as they are! I also included a picture of a "mentally challenged" kid me and Mark found locked in a closet. Poor thing!!

Wallie to be...
Here's my just turned 1 year old treasure. I never knew what joy was until I arrived home one evening a couple of weeks ago and the boy turned to the door and said "DaDOH" and WALKED to me and hugged my leg! Makes me wonder why people need drugs, when all you need is a child's hugs...
I could go on forever and add photos forever, but, hey, y'all have some great kids too and we want to see them!
As Dan says, Hug your kids...

Many years ago when my son was about 18 months old, I met my wife and him for dinner somewhere when we were house hunting. I just finished a really lousy day and was tired and real grumpy. John waddled up to me in the parking lot and wanted to play. That put into a real good mood. I remember hugging him and throwing him into the air (which he really loved) to this day.
Kids can really improve your mood if you let them. Enjoy your little one while you can, he's going to grow up too fast.0 -
