I think you're right

AAF (American Air Filter) bought Herman Nelson and renamed their equipment "AAF Nelson-Aire". As far as I know this was just plain old badge-engineering. School systems around Baltimore used a lot of H-N equipment from the 1940s thru the 1970s.
