What a Indy 500 finish!

With the crowd cheering 19-year-old Marco Andretti (grandson of Mario), the pole sitter, Sam Hornish went low and took him on the homestretch and won by 1/2 a car length, second closest in Indy 500 history. I was lucky enough to be there, about 100 feet from the finish line in the stands. My first Indy 500 turned out to be a great one. Add to that the very patriotic theme of songs and fly-bys and this was one day to be a really proud American.

Perhaps the best part of all was when the band played taps and there was total silence among the 300,000+ fans. That was awesome. Have great Memorial Day and hug a vet!
