New steam boilers 2 floors

Side by side new boilers putting them in at the same time, cool watching them going up. have to go back tomorrow and finish, thats alot of pipes for one day! glad my buddy Rich came with me could not have gotten as far with out him !! there are a couple of fun pics but they loaded out of order, yes thats me in the pictures LOL...David

Dave , that is some amazing pipework . Taking the extra time to redo the main pipes up at the celing is what separates the best from the rest . I also like that you installed the new Weils up on blocks . Was the concrete burned through from the old beasts ? And you did all this work in one day ? Damn that's fast . Excellent , buddy .

One question , were the old snowmen counterflow ?

I'll second that

and add that their fuel consumption will likely be cut in half. Since the old snowmen already had Becketts and so do the Weils, the savings will be almost all due to the radically more-efficient boiler designs.
