Nortec Resdelux humidifiers?

Would anyone have any opinions or experience of Nortec Resdelux steam humidifiers? These are wall-mounted and can have their own blower for non-duct applications. They claim to collect all the sludge in bottles that are thrown away, but they still need both a water line and a drain line.

I don't have any experience with this model, but I have worked with their commercial products. Very nice equipment, though not inexpensive. The canisters are replaced annually if I remember right, which makes maintenance easy. Check the price on the replacement canisters so that you know what it will cost you to service them.

And they need their own electrical circuit.

Nice units. We have used them in the past. One thing I would say is ,watch out where you run the drain , it comes out HOT. Dont run it to a condensate pump.

Like Paul says ,you will need to replace the canisters yearly.

Another good one is the April-aire 1100.

    good luck, Tom

They are nice units. You can not use PVC for the drain line. I know when the NH units drain they also open a valve to dump cold water down the drain at the same time. You can use a condensate pump if you buy a special one made for high temp water.

Have used the NH several times with very good results. Have not had to change the cannisters that often. Most installed with Unico systems but a few with conventional air, have not used the stand alone with the blower pack.
