steam radiator to hot water

WE HAVE SOME OLD STEAM RADIATORS THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO USE WITH HOT WATER. THE VENT TAPPINGS ARE ONLY ABOUT 2/3 OF THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE RADIATOR. WILL THERE BE A PROBLEM WITH VENTING WHEN USED IN A HOT WATER SYSTEM?

If the radiator sections are NOT connected at the top AND bottom, it's genuinely impractical to convert them to hot water as they were designed ONLY for steam.

IF they ARE connected at top AND bottom, they were designed to work with both hot water and steam. Simply remove and the steam vent and plug with an appropriate bolt using some pure silicon for good measure.

Then drill/tap for the air vent at the upper location provided in the casting of EVERY such radiator. Depending on the design of the radiator the upper vent location can be quite prominent or nearly hidden in the decoration.
