Gold panning.

Anyone with teenage boys(one 13 & one 14) or girls in fact.
Take them panning for gold they'll love it.

We did a course on gold panning last Saturday, here in Scotland, and it was great. I thought my boys would last an hour tops, but they were still digging and panning 4 hours later!!! It was such fun and both fell asleep on the drive home.

We are lucky in Scotland to have many places where we can still pan for gold, it has some silver in it and is very bright in the bottom of the pan, easy for my old eyes to see.

We are heading for London England next, cause the streets there are paved with gold!! Well so I'm told?

    When I lived in N.California

    We were living in the heart of the gold country. When we had a particularly wet winter, the rushing water from the mountains would bring down a great deal of gold. There are still to this day, many operating gold companies in the foothills east of Sacramento. Gold panning and prospecting is a very real hobby and passion in that area. Great history too, although a long way from being as old as yours.
