Freeport, Biasi, or Laars Max any issues?

I am in the process of getting prices for the above oil fired boilers installed. Just received a price for the Freeport install and it was $1000 more than a Buderus G115 install. All things being equal that seems a bit high. Any input as to quality, reliability on any of the above will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Pricing is difficult to discuss

Since we don't know what else in included besides the boiler. The G115 and Biasi can take lower return temps then the Freeport. The Logamatic control package is nice to get since it's designed to integrate into the G115.

I prefer the Biasi over the G115 since it has less water content. Pricing is also going to vary greatly on the contractors supplier and if the boiler is stocked or special ordered.

I wanted a Laars MAX (steel boiler) because of the low water content and the top flue design, but it was impossible to find anyone who stocked it on Long Island. Special ordering it made it price prohibited, so I'm going with a Burnham LE since the Burnham distribution channels make it much easier to find in my area.

    Being a Freeport freak............

I can't say enough about them. It would be my choice over the other products you mentioned. Other than the Freeport, the only other oil fired equipment I offer is the Vitola from Viessmann Manufacturing. I'm not a big oil fired anything fan, but these two boilers make oil tolerable.

The Freeport, Biasi, an Buderus are all fine boilers (I don't know anything about the MAX) so all other things being equal, I would go with the price of the quote and the quality of the installer at least between those three boilers. I have a slight personal preferance to Buderus.
