Bolier Questions

to understand some not so easy. perhaps there is an air lock upstairs...the gauge on the boiler might read 170 F degrees at 10->12 psi.....or somewhere in that vicinity...
quite often on new boilers the water and fluid in them needs a bit of monitoring as the system may have alot of air in them, the air is not only let in during the retrofit buh during the burn cycles. Quite often there is sufficent heat to peel a few extra atoms of O off the 2 H2O...that needs to find a way out of the solution and out into a free space , often this causes poor to no prformance out of the boiler.
Adding some water while the boiler is cool is ok however i dont think it safe to add temp or heat from the information you have given me.
try this,...turn the boiler off.listen for gurgeling sounds...when the boiler cools down to about 100 degrees...add some more water to it and check the purge valve...then go up stairs and let off som air on the baseboard.... come back to the boiler an see what the pressure reads...pressure and temp is sorta important as too much temp at no pressure can cause serious problems..by the way ...what are the current pressure and temp readings?

Boiler pressure
I just installed a Peerless Mi-05 boiler. What should the reading be. I believe the temp should read 220 degrees but what should the bottom of that gauge read. Feet H2O Psi. I don't know what I should be looking for it is just one gauge needle for the two readings Feet H2O @ PSI?. Also I had my new boiler running for about 45 minutes but the baseboards upstairs were not getting warm. The circulator is running. It is all one zone. Also my old boiler the circulator was a lot bigger could this be a problem?
Any advice would be great

I checked all my baseboards looking for a vent but there are no vents on any of the baseboards. I just have the air purger and vent that I installed down by the boiler. Should I intstall a vent on one of the baseboards furthest away from the boiler? It is all one loop.
Yes I did install it myself.

I am nervous
Lets hold on here... I would strongly urge you to turn off the burner, and call a professional right away to look at the job. I do not want to make fun of you, however you would be surprized how easy it is to cause a steam explosion.

Air in line
I talked to a HVAC guy. He said there is air in the system and showed me how to purge it. He said the air would cause it to run the temp higher and cause a no heat in part of the system. He said it should be running about 180-185 Degrees and about 12-14 psi cold and 18-22 hot. Does this sound about right.
