So without an H-Stamp and only being approved in Mass. as a "Heater". what can it be installed to do?

    Question about GB142

I called Buderus and asked about outdoor re-set and the GB has none to this date. They are working on getting one. I thought they oughta have one built. Seems a waste to have modulation without a variable set point. I know Munchkin has the vision 1 kit you can add to get Outdoor reset. Does the Ultra and the Vitodens come with it already installed??? Outdoor reset will be out in a few months

Tekmar is making it for them. To all who have not used this excellent piece of equipment yet, you will love it. Pricing falls in between a Munchkin and a Vitoden$. The included primary/secondary manifold insures proper flow rate thru the heat exchanger. You can vent it with standard sch 40 PVC. No $pecial vent kit.

Vitodens has it, I don't know about Ultra.

My understanding is the GB is setup for a indoor reset by way of a room sensor. Nice for a single zone application but tough for our multi-zone applications. They are working on it and it will be out later, just as Munchkin brought out vision one later.

This is really a European single zone boiler which will take a little time to be fully intergrated into the US design but will be well worth it. IMHO.

    you are correct

It is approved as a heater. In the near future it will have the H-Stamp and be approved as a boiler. We will only offer it as a boiler when that approval is finished. This should avoid the confusion as to which one to order as there will only be one version.

    approvals

Baxi Luna has had aprovals for Mass and NYC for some time, plus H stamp. Watch this space for the new condensing range of wallhung boilers, wallhung comercial up to 1/4 million BTU's too.

    Enjoy...

  • Hey, what's the ETA on those, and has Baxi addressed the DHW temp fluctuation their older units have had?

    Taco plug ins

This is great news I have delayed a job, so the homeowner could have the GB-142 installed. I will use the TACO expanable zv control board with the taco plug ins for the outdoor reset and the injection.

    Buderus GB - tekmar Controls

As I understand it, the Buderus GB Series Wall-Hung Modulating Boilers can now be operated by a tekmar Modulating Boiler Control 270 or just about any tN4 Reset Control (except for 421 Mixing Reset Module) if used with Buderus'es EM-10 Interface Module.

Hope this helps. If you have further questions, you are always very welcome to call me at 250-545-7749, Ext. 214, OR call Joe Kennard or Dave Connor at Buderus at 603-552-1100.

    Regards,

    Mike

    PS: Beautiful Job Darin!!

    My first 1,

Arrived today. I took delivery about 40 minutes ago. Tomorrow we begin. I'm so looking forward to this !

Removing the old GlowCore unit today was the highlight of the last winter(better late than never). The problems that it caused will NOT be missed 1 bit. I'll try to keep a running log in photos for posting . Thanks Boss! Chris
